I want to show/hide css in netscape 6. Is there a hack?

what specifically are you trying to show or hide?
- jakeyj0
i don't think you want a style sheet that doesn't validate.... that spells trouble

show css in netscape 6 only
(so I can hide som backgrounds in netscape 6 only)

how about using some JS to modify that property for NN6?
not elegant, but hacks rarely are.

Yes, but i prefer a dirty old css hack...

why for n6? do a lot of your visitors use that or something? i don't even think it gets measured any more for broswers stats. I really wouldn't worry about it.

Jeah I know. Don't tell me about it tell my customer.

My new plan is to ask my client what browser they use up front. Then build the site to only work in that browser.
Otherwise, you assume that they have a browser that is less then 3 or 4 years old, and inevitably, they dont. Then when you show them the site, they say "why doesnt it look right?"

just had the fun of designing a site for a Client on Windows ME running Netscape 6 and complaining about the layout of his site.
Who the fuck uses Windows ME as their main OS for 6 years?

i don't know of a way to hide it from nn6 easily. @import hides from nn4, but not nn6 i don't think.
looks like you're in a pickle.
what are you trying to do exactly? mabye there is another way to do it besides hiding it from only nn6
