So ... our systems guys chained all out kit to the desks with padlocks, monitors etc basically stuff we don't need to move around. Anyway, these locks cost around £40 each, and we had around 40.
A few days after they spent all day installing them all they went out, got drunk and lost the keys.They've just started bolt cropping all the old ones off and fixing new combination locks!
I love it when the grumps fuck up!

used to work at a place where at the end of the working day you had to unplug your machine and march it down to a room for lock up like a line of soldier ants.
each morning we'd march them back out, hook them up and start the day.
left before a year was out.

omg! that's retarded! but I don't blame some companies for takes such ridiculous mesures. just found out last week that our IT has 10 laptops that have gone "missing" *wink*wink* in only 6 months! you can't trust ppl nowadays.
