second to veal venison is the finest meat available to mankind.
the trick is to eat a doe, not a stag, unless it's an immature one. Also if the animal is not killed outright with one shot the meat taints with the massive amounts of adrenaline they produce.

Like what? Venison? Depends on what kind of deer you are talking about.
A lot of other countries have similar varieties of 'deer'.
For example, Southern Africa with 'springbok'. Tasty!
Gamey taste depends on the nutrients that exist in the grass that they eat. The less the nutrients the better (less gamey) it tastes.
