no dice. so about a year ago i started a little clothing company. i do the designs for the most part, they arent bad, theyve had a lot of sales, at least where we've decided to sell them. i am not meaning to toot my own horn or anything, but they sell i guess is the point. however i made the mistake of hiring friends on to try and expand this to a national level. they are good guys. i hired 2 guys, one for product development, and one for marketing. they dont work. the obvious thing to say at this point is to fire them. however, i am not sure how to replace them and get everything on track. i am kind of not on either of the coasts, i am in utah where there is relatively no talent, and if there is, they move to california. i can't do that, not for a few years. anyone want to work with me on either product development or marketing? baahhhh i have managed everything by myself pretty much the whole time, and while i enjoy it, its tiring, and i cant do it to the scale i want.
thanks for letting me rant

any links to what you are doing now?

If they're not putting in, piss them off!! You won't feel the loss because they're not doing anyhting!!
I don't know much about Utah but i believe that you can find other motivated like minded individuals that can help you with your project, you just need to look in the right areas. Network!!:)

thanks guys, sorry for the long ass post. yeah we are working on new stuff, and while we have a site now, its shitty, and we are trying to redo it all. so links later! :)
i guess its a matter of motivation. the people that i work with need to see what i see for the future of this and believe in its success(man that sounded corporate)

i dont think you should worry about how bad your site looks, this is not a "critique me" thread, we want to see the clothing, he! maybe some one would offer to do the design for your site here!
Like they said, networkkkk!!

are you paying your friends a salary or hourly wage?
if so maybe you can pay them based on performance, this way the harder they work they more they will get out of it.
its hard to work with friends... i've been there.

i have been paying them on performance. my 'assistant' - the product developer that helps me make calls to everybody(fabric, sewing, whatev) doesnt really complain. but there have been complaints in the past about how they dont get paid enough. bah!
fine-here is the site
