hi guys,
i'm trying to put music on my friends ipod, but it wont a) let me drag any in, or b) wont let me play any of the music already on it.
Also, the ipod appears in my itunes, but not on my desktop
Does anyone know how i could sort this out

It's all that apple copy protection stuff. Should've got a Zen.
I believe there's software out there to fix that.

It's one of creative's mp3 players. I got one. Pure drag n drop joy!
Umm. I dont know how to fix your problem, but I know it's fixable. Try a search in the PVN.

Anyone know a way to restore factory settings, i dont mind losing all the music thats on it already.

I'm having the opposite problem, I can see my iPod in "My Computer" and drop files to it as a drive, but it won't show up in iTunes. I installed all the latest software, still no dice.
any ideas?

If you both keep your settings the way they are and you two trade iPods with eachother, everything should work out just fine, no?
