sorry i couldn't find this in teh archives...
if i build my interface in flash, can people with old versions on their browsers (like versions 4 and 5) view my content without having to update their flash player to the latest release?
sincerely,

If you publish as Flash 6 or Higher then anyone with 4 or 5 will be prompted to update their player.

there are export movie options that allow you to save down as back as 2.0 i think.
so it is possible unless you plan on having dynamic scripting such as actionscript, at which point it will not function correctly unless it is exported to the correct version

so is there like a 'save down' feature in flash? like in illustrator etc.
the flash player is at version 8 right? what's the highest you can publish via flash?
thanks btw

all your answers lay in File > Publish Settings > click the Flash Tab for options

the highest you can publish is 8, you can save down to previous versions but any actionscript that is not supported by the version you publish at wont work

thanks - that's what i was look for.
