there is one thing worse than that... cut and paste emails. like when you're trying to get your ebay or paypal issues resolved and all you get is the same email with paragraphs in different orders

No auto response. For a second, you think you get an über-fast reply when all you actually get is a report that it got through. But all mail servers give bounce-backs if it doesn't work so it's really pointless.
