I've just finished putting my portfolio-site online.
Please feel free to comment! Do you think i should put my flash-animation in the "About me"-section in the rest of the site too? In the futur i will put up more of these flash-experiments.

your content just kind of floats out there to the right, away from the nav. what's the deal with that, homes?
portfolio is kinda boring.

i think your site needs more work. Right now it looks like you have 2 different look and feel to it.
Your content is so structured and clean, while the left nav area is so random.

also typography needs work. the typefaces you have chosen for the nav is a bit bland and doesn't really go with the style you are trying to achieve.

yeah the kitten thing has to go I think. As a dog person, and someone who likes going to the beach now and then, it tells me you and I might not get along.
some people might interpret that as snooty too... so if you are looking for work I would be careful that you say here.... I mean you dont want to offend anyone or limit your chances...

the Lauretum identity piece is really beautiful, i'm sorry the client didn't appreciate it.the sensibility i see in your print work isn't seen in your web work.

thx lambsy! lauretum piece is about 5 years old now, and when i look back on it, i'm still proud of it!
i don't really get the comments on removing my weblog though. the site isn't really worth going back to if there isn't some daily/weekly update, right? Originally this was going to be a section where i was going to put inspirational stuff. You know: links, picts of prints & publications that really inspire me... to inspire somebody else.
would that be more appropriate?

i see your point about a weblog, it is nice to have something updated constantly, but who is it for really?
it looks as if you are advertising products. it just doesn't feel right.
if you were to talk about yourself, in a more personal way, then i would leave it in.
but even then, who is really going to see it? mostly your friends or family right; and you aren't selling them your services.
do you think a prospective client or employer will visit your site weekly or whatever to get the latest scoop on tech/gadgets?
i highly doubt that, and if they do, you probably woudn't want to work for them.but if you want to just make a fun little site, with stuff in it, then keep doing what you are doing. if you are serious about your career, restructure your site.

print work is great...the web work as a whole doesn't stand up to it, but if you are a little more selective with what you show it could balance out...i agree with the comment about the main nav not fitting in with the rest of the site...as far as the animation is concerned, make it resolve to a nice end frame rather than just looping...it kind of just blinks after a while...i'd leave it on the about page too...nice overall though

thx you guys for the advice & compliments. indeed my portfolio needs to be reviewed. just got an negative respons back from an application for which i made this website for in the first place... bit depressing really... haven't applied for a job in a while, forgot how rejection felt like...

You got one rejection and your back to the drawing board.
You need to get a thicker skin if your gonna get anywhere!!!
Don't go back to the drawing board just keep working on it and applying for positions as you go.
