been working on this damn menu for about 5hrs....it only works in FF. I IE the drop down is way below. look past the colours as I havent got a chance to style them anyone know how to fix this garbage!!!

haven't look at your css or js really , but i am assuming that nav is coming from a js script that must somwhere assign a style. top position or something of the like
ie must be assuming a parent container diff than moz thus making it look lower .... trying figuring out what the nav is "contained" by in IE

I hate drop downs, they totally screw with the look of the site. Always overlapping something designed to fit in a precise way.
That's just me though :)

Use suckerfish dropdowns - they're golden. They address ie issues.

create the real estate for the sub nav on the home page, so other pages don't jump down

always better to keep content and modules/section in the same spot all the time
