I had to copy over some recipe text last night from Illustrator into Dreamweaver. Not a total surprise, it came in as a mess. In particular the special characters used in the original file to show measurments (1/2 Tbsp., 1/4 cup, etc) suffered.
I retyped them just as a normal full size character. In Safari they show up as the custom size smaller characters. But in Explorer they show up at full size as if I just typed out "1/2"
What is the best way to hold a character like this across multiple browsers? And should I copy the original text into something else first before I copy it into Dreamweaver?

always paste copy into a plain-text file and copy out of there and place in the new app's file.
type is a sticky booger, but doing this one extra step will 99% of the time save you this problem.
