not taking a servers hardware specs or bandwidth allowance into consideration, how much traffic can a 10mbit line on a server take? could it deal with 1m hits per day?
any ideas the limits of traffic per day on a 10mbit line?

On our online magazine we're averaging 1.5-2 mbit/sec (we're not capped on mbit/sec, except for 1000GB/mth transfer limit)
At 1.5-2mbit/sec, we're doing 15000 visits per day, around 400,000 pages/day, 26GB/day. (we dont look at 'hits')

designerror - i aint talking about a connection in my home, im talking about a server on a peer1 network - with 10mbit line i get unlimited bandwidth, with 100mbit option i have quite high bandwidth limits but still they are limits i would rather now use

just checked... our stats say about 2 million hits per day on 1.8mbit/sec avg traffic.
Still dont trust 'hits' as a useful measure..
