I'm a fairly inexperienced wanna-be Copywriter who has just been tapped to edit and beautify a business proposal for a budding internet company. Are there any Copywriters or otherwise who have some advice they can offer me? I'm excited for the opportunity but nervous about screwing it up...Thanks.

new business pitch?

To be honest, I haven't met with them yet. We spoke over the phone and they seeme dpretty keen on hiring me to do the job. They said what they have so far is between 10 and 20 pages, including bar and pie charts. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever worked on a business proposal before, or anything like it for that matter, and has advice for someone about to embark on such a journey...

and some of those girls Dinky posted the other day couldn't hurt.

It sounds like it may very well be a new business pitch. One of the guys said it was so boring it made him want to go to sleep and they are hoping I can make it more animated and interesting.

Always room for cowbell....

sounds like a tough one. wish i had some real advice besides "illustrate a hott girl holding the pie chart".
that will work by the way.

seriously though,
i do not care for copy thta is lots of we's and our team and us and shit. i love direct, personable tone that is user-centric and "of" what i shoudl be thinking (or what they want me to.
good luck.

...Wish I was an illustrator.

you basically need to make it sound like someone's going to make a shit load of money by investing in this start up.

Good idea. I honestly hadn't thought of that yet.

I'll keep that in mind. No more advice from Nooner.
