you know how people say follow your heart? that's partly true but mostly bullcrap. design isn't a permanent vocation. it's something that's fun to do for a while and then it gets to be a labor after you reach a certain age. you can only get to be so proficient at design before your age prevents you from seeing things in hot new ways.
nice portfolio. you're more than good enough for agencies.

i say stay in the company
get paid and develop a sweet coke habit, camp out in strip club vip rooms. maybe get arrested a couple times, treat yerself to a jailhouse tat.

anyone making 150k+ in almost any industry has to deal with major amounts of shit, technical crap, politics, and deadlines. lawyers, designers, marketing folk, illustrators, animators, etc. so keep that in mind as you spread your wings elsewhere. companies and clients wont let you off the hook when you make that kind of money.
also, in this day and age, that money isn't all its cracked up to be. its really not life-changing until you get into 7 digits, or so i hear.
