(Nov 15 05, 21:34)Nothing...I frickin love it...but it's everywhere now....everywhere

Used everywhere definitely.
Although I just picked up Richard Paul Lohse's Graphic Design From 1928-1988, and it is typeset in DIN and looks quite nice at very small sizes.

so if it looks good (which I agree that it does) then it isn't the new comic sans, because that typeface never looked good.
maybe it's more like the new helvetica. everywhere, but it's damn good so you can't really complain.

(Nov 15 05, 23:39)don't be such a pedantic bastard
- MrT0
surely it would be pedantic if skelly's point was minor. Which it most certainly wasn't.

things that look good get used a lot. I'd hardly worry about it, there are more important things to complain about than a pretty font becoming quite common!

so stop using it then jevad you old queen!
(i mean that in the nicest possible way sweetheart! mwah mwah)

Sin seems to be very popular with motor behichle companies. Segway, Nissan, not to mention all the other lobs that use it. Doesn't make sense to use a "unique, techie" looking font to stand out when everyone else is using it.
Talk about brand confusion!

It's been everywhere for around ten years now, and still looks good--to me that's a pretty good indication it's safe to use
