Dynamic Text in Flash

  I have a problem...

  I am trying to create a dynamic flash navigation bar in Flash 8.

  I create the text box, name the instance, embed the font, etc. It works! HOWEVER, if I add character spacing, the text is no longer visible in the player...

  Macromedia's site says that Flash 8 has support for character spacing of dynamic text, but I cannot seem to make it work.

  (And yes, it HAS to be dynamic)

  Any help?
