I have been doing work for this company in Finland for over a year now, I met with the company's producer here in San Diego and we agreed to start working toghether, everything went great for me, he will call me, asks me for the work, and I will UPS it to europe. (they have offices here, sweden, finland, estonia and cyprus. And 2 days later they will wire me money.
After my last assignment my contact dissapeared for over 2 months, and he still owes me money. I tried emailing him, and called his cell and no response.
So I decided to call the US office, and the responsable there said that they where having problems with the office in finland, whatever that means, I explained my problem and how I was commisioned to do work for the company. The office here said that they can't be responsible for my contact acctions.
How should I address this problem?
thanks in advance!

Kona, although your idea has a lot of potencial, I would rather try a more civilized concept before I pack my boat with molotov cockails and start my journey to finland..

The contract is/was for the company, not the individual who works for that comany? Correct?

hmm... more civilized?!?
get a lawyer and get him on the case.
who cares who you were working for with the company, you were working for the company. they are liable. you aren't working for joe, you ahve a signed contract with joe's company. if they have office's around the world they are all one.
get on it.
