the expanding menu on the front page, with home, game features ect.

You could try www.webwasp.co.uk. By looks of it it uses controller MCs to make various MC's play in reverse and one forward when the BTN is pressed. Then loading an external swf when the animation is complete.
At least that's how I'd go about it

thanx for that, not exaclty what Im llokng for but close.

It looks to me that the menu items, when clicked check the _y position and then move accordingly - and then unload or load the content for that section.

macromedia calls it an accordian menu.
