I'm looking to redesign my online portfolio site. I started to lay the design out and stopped realizing that it looked alot like some of the other stuff I've been working on lately.
Do you ever fall into a bit of a trap with your design by using what you know works best over and over? Whether it's graphically or navigation. I'm looking to change things up a bit. Not to far out there as I don't want it to be too much of a disconnect from my actual work. I tend to be pretty "gridded" Want to break out.
One site I liiked lately because of the way they took something and just slightly tweaked it was:
Anyone else have examples similar to this of that little hint of difference?

I know what you mean, but there are a couple of sites I have bookmarked which are probably what you are looking for. However, they're at home, so I will try to post later.
