How many of you regularly create some kind of visual art - digital, painting, sketches, photos, mixed, etc? (Outside of a job, BTW)
Do you keep a good schedule of doing those things each week? Do you do more when something directly inspires you - other artwork, web sites, magazines, etc?
Just curious. I'm trying to grab hold of the above mentioned "motivation" and do something worthwhile aside from playing guitar/writing music all the time. More artwork, more reasons to make a better site for myself to put what I've done there.
What's your secret? I suffer from the "see lots of things in my head but don't sit down and get them out" disease.

I keep a creative journal and try to record and develop my ideas. Continually making connections keeps me excited and engaged in what I'm doing.

i use my sketchbooks daily.. don't matter whether its logo development for a corp client or doodling at 2am high as a kite... i always work out ideas in a hard bound book where its documented forever.
i also used to have a specific night of the week that was my painting night, and no matter what my friends were doing or my clients had waiting, i was booked that night to paint big.
