Ey, how long do you guys work a day? How many days a week?

10am start = no rush hour travel craziness, seats on buses/trains, no school kids.
6pm finish = 1 hour late for after work drinks/parties

honest, 10am!! Now that's what I like.
I am working every hour god sends at the mo. about 9am - 0000, last night was until 0400 but I am freelancing. And yes I work weekends as well :/

i normally work 12-14 hours days when there's a big push on . mainly because i'm in charge of upto 15 people. saying that,i do a lot of my work remotely/hot desking etc. internet has really helped the way i work, 12 years ago i did'nt have it but i was still working like i was in a large global office on windows! because i travel a lot and when i'm preparing for seminars it's probaly more of what you need to do. i suppose if i wasn't in management, for example if i was just in the marketing dept. i'd probably work less. but it is reflected in the salary so i ain't complaining. when i met peter gabriel at the southbank centre last summer, he said 'when you die you can sleep'- i think i'm in that modus/zone right now!

8am-5pm -- 8pm-12am 5 days a week. 8pm-12am weekends. no rest and no choice.

Kelpie: Ah, just because a friend´s doing an intern right now and he´s working 6 Days a week and about 14-18 hours a day. I think that´s crazy.

(Nov 9 05, 03:08)It's not so crazy, just pretty standard exploitation of interns. Having said that, you'll end up doing it professionaly when the shit hits the fan so you might as well get used to it.

In Japan most graphic designers burn out and have to retire at 32, something about not believing in weekends. They then wittle out the rest of their lives servicing the needs of younger 20-something designers as their assistants.
My wife had to once artwork 500+ signs for a hospital in one night.
