This is for anyone who finds birthdays are becoming just a little too regular and unhearty...
I have an idea for 2006. Instead of everyone giving you gifts on your birthday, your birthday should be a time for you giving everyone ELSE gifts. If everyone you know does this, then there are many benefits to be reaped:
- you get a whole year to consider your present for each person, meaning no more forced buying, half hearted presents that mean nothing or aren't loved
- this is multiplied so you recieve gifts throughout the year that have this love and thought that is pumped into them
- the celebration is still focused on your birthday (if you like the whole HEY IT'S MY BIRTHDAY thing) but there's not any awkward opening of said half hearted presents.
- maximise the love, multiple presents throughout the year --- you give as one adn recieve as a whole group = maximised love and happiness= PUT THE FUN AND LOVE BACK INTO BIRTHDAYS!!!
Of course this only applies to people who can actually go out and buy a bunchy of presents. Little kids are out of the question. They wouldn't understand the idea anyway, seeing as their birthdays are still super special.
It has to be said that this only came to me because I turned 19 last week. I want to be 18 again.
Oh Peter Pan, where art thou?

The amount of drugs you must be doing would easily kill a marmoset.
