dont know but with prices so low now a days, i wouldnt be suprised if they are. but remember like the .info sites, at first they were free for the first year but then they would go up to 14 bucks a year. That is too expensive considering that you could get .com sites at the same tiem for half the price.
you can get .com .org and .net at yahoo at the moment for 2.95 per year.
