like rollover minutes?

FYI, unless you're using that newfangled digital paper, I don't see how that's going to work...

what is a rollover?

I used to have some baseball cards that had a 3D effect where as you moved the card the picture of the player seemed to movew from a batting stance to a committed swing.
Thtas the closest thing to a print rollover I have ever seen....

even if you could code rollovers into a print page, you're never going to find a cheap desktop printer that prints them.

methinks yer client has InDesign and ImageReady sorely mixed up. I know.... two Adobe products starting with an "I" but...
slap the client for me.

...its for an interactive pdf. and by rollover i mean, you move your cursor over an image, and it changes to another image.
thanks.

client will be slapped
...gladly.

Indesign, is an application used to design for PRINT.
A rollover (unless there is something else that I don't know about) is a computer/TV interfase button that changes instance (color, shape, size, etc) when the cursor is over the area of the button.
Explain how are you going to achieve a rollover on paper please, I'm curious.
He is probably talking about go live, or image ready...

Nah, I think the client is one of those people who likes the interactive PDF.
Why not just make a web page?
I never get it.

the publishing industry lives for these, mg33. they are pretty much the standard fare there.
not sure if that is what chedda is aiming for, but it is widely used as a leave behind someone can look through......albeit on their computer.
i know, i don't get it either....

okay maybe i will type in capitals.
INTERACTIVE PDF
you can create pdfs that can be emailed, not printed, in indesign too.
you can put hyperlinks and even buttons on a pdf, check the app.
but can i do a rollover?.. that is the question.
would rather it be a web page mg33, but alas its already been created... will slap client accordingly.
thanks again for the help.

oh ok.. i was thinking for print, no wonder i was so confused. i knew indesign had web properties for working with XML and databases as we coded a newspaper site with it to work with incopy (the story editing and workflow system) once finally placed in indesign when the pages were being designed.
