Painter started as a Meta Creations app (which is why it is good and not very Corel-ish). It used to be the only program along with Alias StudioPaint that had really fast brushes...but Photoshop has caught up (used to be awful for sketching cars especially as you couldnt draw a smooth ellipse fast in Photoshop as the sampling rate was too low)... I like StudioPaint (now integrated within Alias StudioTools 3D/2D), Painter, and Photoshop as well.. they all do stuff differently..

wow, its my first time looking at this program...my friend recommended checking it out since i just got a wacom tablet, and jesus christ, this thing is phenomenal for sketching with a wacom pen...i even like its vector bezier incorporation. anyhow im probably saying nothing new, its just that i never thought id be remotely interested in a corel product in the last decade. glad i checked it out. i guess pshop could be just as capable, but that's not without plugins right?
anyhow id like to ask those with wacom's which do they prefer for painting/sketching, pshop or painter and why?
peace
