oi! things are going well, yet it has been very difficult to carry out daily tasks, like go to the supermarket and figure out what things are...
Things also seem to take a lot longer to get accomplished, but I suppose that may turn out to be a positive...

i love those first few months in a new place, when the culture shock is still sort of benign and amusing.
it's true, things can be a bit less efficient (or at least seem that way to an outsider), but, like you say, that can be a good thing.

I have to email a friend to see when him and his missus are going to Vegas as I'd like to see him as well, so it'll probably be end of November, early December...
