i need to make a designed html e-mail that will be forwarded by the receipent of the e-mail.
Q: what happens on pc/outlook when an html e-mail is forwarded? does it still keeps the html layout etc?
or is it possible at all to do this?
btw, i'm using a mac...

it might be better to take the initative and set up the mail as an html template on their machine, ready to be sent out, fresh.
"I wouldn't trust outlook not to fuck up your work", basically :)

okay.
it turns out to work fine on pc, but not when i use mac: the forwarded html e-mail is sent as plain text.
but the images don't appear using outlook on pc, the client has to right-click on an image placeholder, and after that the image is shown.
is that by default or somewhere in the settings?
geez, i hate this.

the mail client could be set up to..
- accept full html mails
- same, but not automatically download images
- force as plain text (so source is displayed)you can (i think) embed a 'plain text' version in html mails to compensate for the last case.

i've actually had sucess forwarding emails on my mac. you can only forward it once though, after that it gets messed. (so you can send it once, and that message can be forwarded once and it works)
images not appearing though like you describe it sounds llike a perferences issue within outlook.

Personally, I prefer to send 'well formatted' plain text emails, and include urls to relevant graphical web equivalents.
I feel people respond better to plain text, as it's not so intrusive and presumptive - it'll also less likely fall foul of any spam/junk filters.

yeah, make sure it degrades nicely cause a bunch of clients DO force plain text.

but when i tell the client that, they quickly find another one who's going to make that for a few bucks, and i don't get the $800,- i'm going to invoice now.the decision is easy.
