Is it true that the flash8 plug in can fix the issue when flash apppears on the top most layer when doing a DHTML drop down menu?
That doesnt seem logica to me, but if some one can give me some insight that would be great. I dont understand how the flash player can fix a browser issue.

haven't heard that. As far as I know Flash always floats to the top, unless you try supressing it with JavaScript.

I just cant understand how the plug in can fix that issue. But hopefully some one knows a little more about the subject...?

if u use
a different z-index
and
add the wmode=transparent parameter in your flash object
you can.

right, i know there are hacks to fix the issue and stuff, but the main question is "Can flash 8 player fix a layering browser issue?"
My first reaction is no the flash player cant. but I might be totally wrong...
thoughts?
I am browsing MM website and so far I havent seen any specific reference to that.

Using flash as a background:

Putting an iframe form over flash:
