Thoughts on this? I couldnt find another thread about it.

I hope Cheney is next.

Rove was more responsible.
- Gilt0010
Low man on the totem pole takes all the blame. The rest all keep their pensions and bonuses and walk away smirking...
Come on, as if Cheney or Rove are going to pay for what they've done. Please. They have way too much pull and money.

libby's a start. get rove and cheney and watch bush fall to pieces.
it's a mark against bush for sure but getting rove would hurt him more.

Nice to see some justice. I hope it helps apply some scrutiny towards this admins push to war in Iraq. I'd like to see the line of accountability go all the way to President Bush.
- exador10
from what i can tell, it looks as though they're gonna keep the heat on Rove..but Cheney's untouchable, since he didn't speak out of turn to the press...and it's unlikely they'll get him on something like abstruction of justice...
the sweetspot is that this'll go to trial...
and ultimately, that trial will shine a bigass light on the rampup to war with Iraq...
now THAT will be worth its weight in gold
:)those prosecuters will go digging through every shred of a paper trail they can find, and an assload of it points to the gang of warhawks that lead the nation into a retarded war
the shit has not even BEGUN to hit the fan...
anyone who is still under the impression that the republicans brought down bill clinton in his second term haven't seen nothing yet...
the bush admin is about to find out what it's like to be in the hot seat...
and its not over something as trivial as a blowjob...

yup, this is the tip of the iceburg.
fitzfgerald said the reason why there weren't more indictments was because Libby was lying.
The house of cards they built is wavering.

accountability
does exist.
- Gilt0010
Wouldn't it be awesome if Libby has truckloads of evidence pointing fingers at the rest of the Bush administration.
And the trial was just a big show and tell of evidence against Cheney and Rove.
Ahhhh if only.... i would be laughing really hard. Not that I'm not already.

the fall guy
he went so rove and cheney wouldn't
total bullshit

The fish rots from the head!
- mrdobolina0
jevad, thi isjust the tip of the iceburg man, it aint ova muthafuckaz.
- QuincyArcher0
i curious to see where this will go...
harriet miers failed nomination, waning support for the war, record low approval rating for bush...
i don't think they can stand any more bad press.

investigation isn't over. Rove can still get nailed.
- mrdobolina0
this president is weak as fuck right now.
- ukit0
This guy is no underling. He's Cheney's right hand man. One of the main people who provided the argument for the war in Iraq as far back as the early 90s. He was one of the main people involved in making the case to go to war, hence his obsession with Joe Wilson. So I don't think it's a case of someone "taking the fall for someone else."

I have a bad feeling that if anyone less than Rove gets indicted in this that this story may not live out longer than a month. Libby is a good start, but Rove is what the general public will pay attention to. Anyone who doesn't follow politics barely knows how Rove is as it is. I doubt they know a thing about "Scooter". If nothing more happens, Libby will take a reaming for the party and that may be it. They'll stonewall around any incriminating evidence with the usual lies and rhetoric and nothing more will happen. Rove is the key.
If they indict him I'll have a party, for real! :)

remember that name...
Joe Wilson
you will hear alot more of it.
- mrdobolina0
this isnt going away. Libby has to go to trial, the truth will come out then. Other people will go down in this one.
- ukit0
Madflea I think you are wrong because now there will be a public trial. Featuring potentially Tim Russert, Bob Novak, Matthew Cooper, White house officials, even Cheney as witnesses. I don' think this will go away and it will be difficult for them to decide how to deal with this.
