How to make a quick site isn't really what i'm talking about though. If you have not finished your new site (for whatever reason) and don't like your old one, what do you do with the space in the interim.
Redirect it to your work (in my case my employers) site?

all i'm saying is that it is not difficult to make a holding page that people get at least some value out of...
whether it be memorable and inspire you to bookmark it... or sign up to be told when it goes live, or info on what you've just been working on, or started, or links to websites you've worked on...otherwise you're not going to get people going to your site and going, wow, I'm going to bookmark that because it a holding page

i didnt' see this on tuesday, but that lugz commercial is old. it had a print campaign to go with it.
the first thing i thought when i saw the ipod commercial s that it was ripping the lugz spot and the intro to PUNK'D

skt... I'm not trying to be an arse on purpose... I just think if people are going to advertise themselves (even if this means having a link somewhere of their site) it is there duty to not piss people off when they click on it

Things I don't see:
1. 3d, including the 3d grafitti, in the the ipod spot
2. drips, drops, and splashes in the lugs spot
3. why it matters this much to people who have no influence on either company
