not been stumped in a while, but quick question:
I have link attributes set for links in content. I also need link attributes set for the navigation.
How do I set different attributes for the navigation only? New class or something?

what do you mean? Pseudo Classes?
nav a:link{}
nav a:hover{}
.....??

yea just create a global nav
#globalNav{
color: #cccccc;
padding: 0px 0px 0px 10px;
white-space: nowrap;
}or what not and do one for ur other nav and call them up

cool, thanks everyone. I think I've got it except for the hover color not working.
Used this site before for css navigation, and realizing I'd done the same font in PS as I could use in HTML, I stepped back from several photoshop buttons with background, made the div one wide background and am now just using text links.

say what?

I mean:
instead of 8 buttons with background graphic made in photoshop with verdana/no style, I used one entire background graphic and put the text links over the top of that.
Mucho simple.

Here's the other problem:
I've got that working, but after a navigation link has been clicked, I never again see the desired rollover state.
White text button
Mouse over, it's light blueafter clicking link, it never again shows the blue.
drawing a huge blank.

what you want to look up is the pseudo classes for the anchor tag
a:hover {set hover colour}
a:visited {set visited colour}
a:active {set active colour}
