hey does anyone know if there are any pci cards for powerbooks that run the internet(like the cingular or verizon cards, but more mac)?? i remember reading somewhere that you can get these seemingly PC-only devices to work for mac.

'run the internet'?
you mean a PCMCIA card (PC card slot), right? PCI is something different...some PC laptops have mini-PCI.
what sort of network are you trying to connect to... 3G, GPRS, GMS, Wi-Fi... ?

yes sorry for the poor wording.
i am trying to use cingular's gsm/gprs/edge network, and if they dont have a card that i can get to work on a mac, then verizon's cdma/their equivalent to edge.

You might be able to find drivers or info here (not sure if its the right type of netowrk card):
