hey all - I'm using CSS for my text styles (in DMWV mx 2004), and I'm having a problem with my rollover colors – my primary text style is rolling over fine from green to black (a:link), but my b:link and c:link styles aren't rolling over at all...
any ideas why?
thx

c: link???
this assumes their is a tag 'c' which doesnt exist.

i've got styles for:
.body
a:link
a:visited
a:hover.subnav
b:link
b:visited
b:hover.sidenav
c:link
c:visited
c:hoverAll of them show up in Dreamweaver, but I'm very aware that this might be 4-5 years old as far as the best way to go with multiple text link styles
And I'm definitely no pro when it comes to this stuff...
Is there a better way? links/resources?
thanks

I think you may also need:
a:active
b:active
c:active
- IRNlun60
b tags are for bolding and do not have href as an attribute. c tags don't exist...
try
a.colora:link
a.colora:visited
a.colora:hovera.colorb:link
a.colorb:visited
a.colorb:hovera.colorc:link
a.colorc:visited
a.colorc:hoverso...
blah...
- IRNlun60
sorry...
a href=# class=colora

thanks, I'll check that out

does that look right?
test link
the style is called
.sidenav
and it's got:
a.sidenav:link
a.sidenav:hover etc...I'm getting a random blue line underneath black text, and it's not rolling over to white as outlined in the style details.

text-decoration: none; will get rid of the line...
a href=# class=sidenav
not just
a href=#
a.sidenav:link {
color: #A18966;
etc...
text-decoration: none;}a.sidenav:visited {
color: #fff;
etc..
text-decoration: none;}check out W3C tutorials...

I learned a ton regarding CSS from this site: www.alistapart.com
There are some really great resources out there now that people are beginning to understand standards of web design.

thanks guys – definitely a big help. I know what I've got is wrong, but that's probably because I'm editing an ancient file from an old site... i'll start from scratch off of one of those tutorials.
thanks again for the help!
