I don't see anything here in the PVN on Rosa Parks. And I went back a few pages.
So I'm just going to post because it needs to be acknowledged.
Rosa Parks passed away over the weekend. Idiots around the world still use race to divide people.
Open your eyes people...

-------------------------i hate to see her accomplishment minimalized in this manner.
You could reduce nearly all human achievement to such simple quips.
she was stubborn, yes. she stubbornly stood her ground in the face injustice, and that took courage.

well said quincy.

i'm not saying the event wasn't important in the course of history, i'm saying that it wasn't an accomplishment
she was just being a crotchety woman
thankfully for her and other blacks it triggered something
but i seriously doubt that's what she was thinking while doing it

------------------------------i feel that saying she was a crotchy old woman is technically true, but slightly inaccurate. sort of like saying that all you've done at work today is move the mouse around.
but i agree, she probably didn't think what she did would spark such a massive movement.

It was an accomplishment and it benefited more than just her and blacks.
- Mimio0
She worked for the NAACP and was an activist before her arrest. She was intentionally opposing the "Jim Crow" laws.

nice insight Mimio
