Anybody running the marathon on November 6th? I'll be one of the 30,000+ people running the 26.2 mile race.
I can't wait! I've been training for quite some time now and I am very excited about it.

good luck! dont cramp!
one of my best friends is a marathon runner in england!he usually finishes at almost the exact same finish time everytime!
he has never missed a race in over 10 years!! he may actually be running in the nyc race as well! i hope you have weather like today (sunday)!!
:)

Yeah, I hope there'll be nice weather that day! Even though cold or rain doesn't worry me too much, considering I've been running with 35/45ºF the last few weeks. Right now is 38ºF and I'll be going running shortly. =)
But I know that race day is a different thing.

where are you from that it is 38°f????

Maybe I'll join......for .25 miles. Exhausted, I will end up eating at McDonalds, eating and clogging my arteries with fries.

Stupid Missouri!

It's warm now, it's 46ºF!
- e-pill0

where did you qualify? what was your time?
good luck!
- Mattiadesign0
I entered my name in the lottery, and I got picked. As far as I know the NYC marathon doesn't required a specific time for running it, like Boston for example.
Just luck I guess.
- todelete__20
oh heck. i read it wrong. i thought you were running in the boston.
hell, either way it's still a marathon. good luck!
- Mattiadesign0
e-pill...Thanks!
I hope it will be in the 50s-60s F, I like to run in cold weather.
But as long as it doesn't rain I'll be happy with any kind of weather!
:-)

yesterday was like 55°F max then today it shot up to 71°F and the rest of the week looks like upper 50's to mid 60's, but the weekend looks even warmer!!!
my bday is friday!!! so im praying for HOTT HEAT!!
:)

actually you want the weather to be a bit cooler.
running 26+ miles your bodies core temperature can quickly heat up. you really want to run in colder weather so the air can keep your body cool.

but he can always cheat and jump in to a subway and BAM! he made it to the end, grab some NYC hot babe, tell her he is a runner and then get laid, then jump back in the race all panting like and win!!
:)
- Mattiadesign0
That would be a great idea, e-pill, but you can't really cheat! They give you a chip that will track where you're going. So if you change direction, or suddenly going too fast (like on subway) they will know and then you'll be desquilified!
- e-pill0
its easy to solve that, just think how spider-man does it, tag the fast guy running in front of you!!! also tag him with some real stinky stink bomb so you know who he is when ou come out in the end of the race after you met your nyc sexpot!!
see its easy!!! and you get to have some fun!!!
this is your back-up plan just in case its too hot to run!
:)
