help choosing a typeface for swiss style

i am doing a project for school about ther international typographic style and i have to choose a font for my layout. since everyone else in the class is pretty much defaulting to helvetica i was wondering if there are other typefaces that can pertain to that time but are different from helvetica.

well i just bought akzidenz grotesk anyways. hopefully i will use it in the future :) my credit card is melting. can it do from an online purchase?

akzidenz is a staple font — a worthy purchase. you'll use it everywhere.
