dude i would totally go to miami if a hurricane was about to hit
i would snuggle with my gf and you'll really get to bound with her family while you are all huddled in that closet while you ride out the storm
then after the storm is over you can all go looting. the family that loots together stays together
personally i would go just for the looting. did you see all the tvs and beer those fuckers got in post-katrina new orleans? i mean damn
*searches travelocity and orbitz for tickets to south florida

Svexican, haha that's a great picture you painted.
is there a rules as to when looting begins? i want to get started kinda early...

Destruction and potential loss of life aside, you've got to hand to Wilma. Nothing like trying to be the biggest and baddest yet.

(Oct 19 05, 10:05)i think it should be as soon as you can go outside without getting blown away or getting a 2x4 lodged in your head.
you can't wait too long as good stuff goes quick and the national guard will roll in
ever heard the prase "every looter gets the plasma" ???
theres a lot of truth in that

that's one big ass b*tch...yeah they say it might downgrade, downgrade to a Cat 4. Katrina was a Cat 3 when it made landfall. This is something that's really serious; my parents and brother are in Miami and are freaking out, they are already evacuating people from the keys.

what will it take for people to move away from these areas, seriously.

(Oct 19 05, 11:28)I'm just saying you can't tell people to go live somehwere else because of hurricanes. Every place has it's disadvantages, whether it's earthquakes, floods, fires, tornadoes, volcanoes, you name it. It's just part of living on Earth.
Instead of trying to stop disasters, or tell people to not live in those areas prone to them, it's probably best to try to learn how best to live with them. Many disasters are simply the planet releasing its energy, so I think we should just try to find feasable ways to minimize their impact on our lives - not prevent nature from taking its course.

I live in Milwaukee, we get thunderstorms and snow.
We do not get earthquakes, floods, fires, tornadoes, volcanoes or hurricanes.
Did you know that much of Florida will no longer be touched by many insurance companies for exactly this reason and these areas have to be insured by their local and state governments?

this is really cool, moural.
