Weird Monitor

I bought ViewSonic G220fb 21" and it's really weird -
If you put anything white on top of black, white starts to glow. It's not blurry or anything, it's just glowing.Does anyone know what it is? Should i return this monitor or is it possible to correct?

slappy, yes, i decided to go with crt... i thought that i would really like to have an option of switching between resolutions.
if only this thing would work properly... and they don't sell crt's in the store, so i'd have to ship it back...
What a pain in the ass!

are you sure the contrast isnt just cranked too high?
try calibrating the monitor?

yes i had VS
i REALLY had to convince the retailer cauise they refused to take it back..
if you like, before you take it back, call the help desk and get a claim number and take that to ther store..

if you want a nice hot sexy really good monitorget L1980U from LG its nice looking and really sharp. with 8 ms response..

Guys, guys, viewsonics usually have a toggle for over-gamma, it's for video games and stuff. Just check your settings and calibrate it right. You either have that setting "on" or the brightness is too high, meaning all your colors are a bit washed out anyhow.

i checked everything
i reset, set up everything. i did that with the guy on the phone from VS.a mointor should not glow. i had the problem at work also. some time its also caused by slight vibration.
i say return it. talk to the ppl from VS
make your case and return it

i bought it from Hewlett Packard's website.Im gonna call them tomorrow and see what i can do. Im soo pissed off now because it's gonna be at least a week until it's gonna work out...
I don't want to buy an LCD, but it's sooo bad that you can't look at CRTs at stores anymore...
