hilarious.
i don't know if people saw it so i don't want to spoil anything but it was great.
the gravitas segment with stone phillips was funny.
and the picture of a picture of him standing in frame. histerical.
i hope this keeps up. he was hilarious on the daily show and in harvey birdman.
go stephen colbert.

'aqua teen hungerforce' time! nothing is better than shake and meatwad.

some of the jokes were drawn out too long
also, he barely gave stone phillip a chance to talk in the interview.
Could've been funnier

not sure how i feel about Colbert doing Late Show .. On the one hand I will be glad to see the end of Paul Schaffer, on the other, i am not sure how well Colbert will go not being Colbert.. unless, he is just going to continue.
Although I am assuming the guests will be less political and interesting and more pop and movie stars..- He is multi-talented, a great interviewer, and the camera loves him. Plus, he'll give a boost to the younger audiences.DRIFTMONKEY
- audiences. He'll do great.DRIFTMONKEY
- He is definitely talented.. just seem a shame we are going to loose Colbert as Colbertautoflavour
- He had a nice run, longer than I think most people would have given him, since it's all satire. His last show will be a tear jerker.DRIFTMONKEY

its' going to be amazing.. every episode of his show is flawless, why would this be any different?

Wonder if he'll lose the "right wing" character.

New York Times reporter Bill Carter tweeted a quote from Colbert confirming that: “I won’t be doing the new show in character, so we’ll all get to find out how much of him was me. I’m looking forward to it.”

Hopefully he'll reinvent the genre and won't have to be nice to Kardashians.

If you watch this video where he interviews Neil deGrasse Tyson:

...he's really not that different "out of character" as he is in character. He'll probably still be sarcastic and over the top in a self mocking way.
- He'll be smarter. He does "break" conservative a lot in the show though.********

Great news...I've always like Letterman's dry, sarcastic wit and his ability to listen to and build a rapport with his guests. Fallon I don't find funny...he's good on his skits and musical pieces, but his interviews seem shallow.
So hopefully Colbert will do a good job!

he's a great replacement. the colbert report was just a running joke that had its time and was getting old so it'll be a nice refresh to see him be himself and just host a show
