Could I suggest something better?
Scrolling divs, and here's the code to do it:
#header {
position:absolute;
top:100px;
left:0px;
width:266px;
height:12px;
padding:5px;
border:1px solid #C4C8CC;
background:url("images/recnewshe... no-repeat;
}#scrollingsection{
position:absolute;
top:113px;
left:0px;
width:266px;
height:100px;
padding:5px;
background-color:#F5F6EC;
border:1px solid #C4C8CC;
line-height:17px;
overflow: auto;
scrollbar-face-color: #ECECD8;
scrollbar-highlight-color: #ECECD8;
scrollbar-3dlight-color: #ECECD8;
scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #D4CBA9;
scrollbar-shadow-color: #ECECD8;
scrollbar-arrow-color: #62BD19;
scrollbar-track-color: #F4F6EC;
}Change aspects to whatever you want.
Make a div called header to use above the scrolling section, graphic or title or what have you.
Use a div "scrollingsection" for the content you want to scroll.Points for incorporating ASP into that and pulling scrolling content from elsewhere. If you'd like that to, I can help you out.

USE FUCKING JAVASCRIPT!!!

Thanks bro, never knew that was done with javascript. Can you use anything for the arrows/bar?
If so, I'll refrain from my "javascript smells like 1999" comment.

thanks for info...i am a computer caveman though, any help with easy ways of doing it that will work on most browsers?
- version30
yes you choose the size, color shape image scroll area etc, with what i have there.
it is even possible to have your scroller scroll side to side while your content goes up and down
so like i said

scroll bar goes side to side, controlling text up and down, like a camshaft, or piston, or a few beers
