I would like to read a captivating biography or autobiography. You folks have fine, fine taste. I would prefer an artist or musician type, but any interesting mind will do. Any suggestions?

I read the Richard Branson book a while back, on his life, and the trials and tribulations of the Virgin empire... it was definitely an interesting read...
and Richard has done some pretty amazing shit in his time...
worth a read...
if you want a quick laugh, here's an article i found a while ago on kittens, being reviewed as though they were a piece of computer equipment. very funny.
