I've been using Safari as my default foreve even tho it crashes all the time. Think it's time to bail. What's up with Mozilla? People seem to dig it.

Firefox has some great features similar to Safari but is far more stable.
It allows for tabbed searching and bookmarks are exportable as one html file. Plus, there's a variety of extensions (like Mac Widgets) that allow you to trick-out Firefox towards your needs. Not to mention a variety of skins, easy searching, and the Quick Search functionality...which i use a bazillion times a day.
It's also pretty good to test new sites on, in addition to IE, as it enables you to see how the world of NS users sees your sites.

On my PCs I use Firefox, on my iBook, I usually use Safari, the beta version of Firefox seems much better than the older version, runs a little faster on the Mac than before.

I use safari all the time, and it hardly ever crashes. How often does yours crash? Maybe it's a particular site.
- JennyMarie0
java plugins always do it in. and i get lots of font conflicts. or i did until i switched to fontagent pro. but still get the occasional one. it also loads some weird image station thing when i try to watch videos and that always makes it crash.

Hmm fair enough. Try firefox then, or try reseting Safari. It should be an option under the main menu dropdown.

I use Safari all the time and not once since it was introduced has it crashed on me.
I use Firefox for checking sites with the handy Web developer extension but Firefox still looks and feels like netscape to me (especially the way it's default buttons look) and that turns me off because there is nothing I hated more than Netscape.
Most of the time i don't need all the bells and whistles - I just want to surf clean and to the point so I rather use Safari.
