Medina has great soup...I think I'll head over there for lunch today given the weather.
I was partial to the deli on the corner of broadway and 17th (Union Square deli), but since they closed, I find myself going to these yuppie places (although they have good food)

A bakery sounds pretty good, but unless they carry things like canolis and cakes, I don't see how they will survive with the green market in the park (even if its only open 4 days a week).

You can definitely get a good meal under $10 unless you're getting like a steak and lobster.
