you need some powerful authoring program.
what are you using?

i exported a flash animation as a background for a DVD menu, using DVD studio pro.
just exported as .mov from flash, then imported into DVD studio
but yea, not a total success either, but it worked ok since it was just opaque background animation.

the project started as an email teaser campaign so they would veiw it on a site but it has now turned into a video that they want to display
i orignally built it in flash over multiple timelines (so i can straight export it as a .mov file)
it is all vector so i brought the swf into Director and exported a PICT image sequence at 720 x 480
i then brought the image sequence into After Effects and rendered it out as Animation Quicktime file (for smooth gradients)
Then i brought it the .mov file into Final Cut and adjusted the timing.
but when i export it for DVD Studio the image quality looks shitty
so its been a long process (im not even sure if its the best way) so if anyone has some suggestions it would really help
thanks

Watch your aspect ratios and formats.

i think it is your settings in DVD Studio. Check them, seems where your trouble has started.

Use SWF2VIDEO. Works great. Basically records EVERYTHING, even interactivity.
Open SWF with SWF2VIDEO, render as AVI (uncompressed video == huge ass file). Then use any video software u want after that. AFX is what I use. I'd reccomend Adobe Encore DVD to put the badboy on DVD. simple as cake.
