i'm a newbie here and would love some advice. i've got over 5 years agency experience as a web designer under my belt, but i've done mostly production work and feel really low on design skills. looking at the good design stuff here scares me to death...
any advice how to get my confidence up asap to match those 5 years??
sincere advice appreciated

thanks guys. at the moment i try to copy websites one-to-one...like literally take a screenshot and copy it to get understanding....
but sometimes i think i miss the talent for it. like - good navigation -does it stick in ur head?

i personally suck at website design. i mainly design for print. although i would like to broaden my skills.

my old creative director used to do screengrabs and trace stuff. in my opinion you either have it or you don't.

I would think after 5 years of web production you would have a good idea of what makes a good navigation etc.
