i have a freehand document, two pages with outlined text and a bg image (tiff). when i export the filesize is 2 mb. i need to create a pdf of the same document for dialup users. how can i get the size down?

on a mac you get the best result by choosing file > print and choose PDF (Acrobat Distiller) as printer.
now you can edit the settings, dpi, RGB, CMYK etc etc.

yeah, i don't have access to distiller (no acrobat software here).
i'm on pc.

i don't know nothing about pc's. but maybe you can find pdf export settings somewhere?

so is there no other way of compressing/setting quality?
i have pdf 995 but there's no compression options.

Distiller is the way to get nice size and config. pdfs...
If you want send me the .eps (with tiff preview) file exported from FH and i bring you a distilled pdf back...

Stir, I have pdf creation software, but not distiller (with advanced compression options).
OBBTKN, the .eps' files are over 100mb altogether. Don't know if you want to do that?

100 Megs?? Woaoo... too big for email... did you have an ftp address? i´ve got one... but limited to 150 megs...
