You're right, I don't think theres any argument that appropriated arabic type is not only passe, its also cheesy and poorly done. For a company that claims extreme originality, I call absolute bullshit.

claiming extreme originality vs. just doing your own thing and ignoring adhering to such a broad moniker seems sort of setup for failure. But Davids been a pal of mine and his intentions love or hate them are good. I know nothing about arabic type to know if its dated but at least its not another tshirt on threadless that anyone can pull out of their ass.

hrm... a long long time ago, i worked for David at Human Brand. i was in a bad spot and ended up having to leave the job pretty soon after i started, but he seemed cool in the time i got to know him. what's the big problem?

whats interesting is that if the taglines on his brands didnt exist claiming this or that i dont think people would give his pieces as much heckle. Kinda one of those, "dont talk about it be about it" kind of things
