No i wouldn't think so! There's probably a way to make them follow a path in AE. Or do a simple tween animation in flash with the letters and them takes the SWF into AE.

Just look for some tutorials on particle systems for whatever 3d program you want. You already said you suspected it was just particles, so why didn't you dig up some stuff? Google is your friend.

yeah i suspected, but i cant imagine how to use a partical system with type.
thaught someone has done it before or knows tutorials
