Does it help to say that I kind of never knew what I wanted to begin with?
It's just, I want everything! Damned society... making everyone feel like they have to be the best at everything. Grrrrr.

YOU COULD BE STANDING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR YOUR NEXT JOB!!! WAKE UP!!! WAKE!!!

If you're hungry you don't sit around waiting to starve to death, you get off your tod and look for what you're hungry for.

i think as we grow older, we get more scared to take the big step.
i know my problem now, i think.
i am working not because i want to be the best i can be. i am working because i am supposed to or i want the comfort.

I drive by day laborers everyday on my way to my cushy office job with a desk, air conditioning, etc.
YOU HAVE IT HARD???
IF THIS ISN'T WANT YOU WANT THEN GET OUT AND GO STAND ON THE ROAD THAT I PASS EVERYDAY!!!

I guess it depends on your responsibility levels, tk.
If you don't really have any then it becomes easy to make a switch to do something else.

having a job is the basis of survival in today's society, but that doesn't mean you can't have plans or dreams.
If you're comfortable doing what you're doing then fine, but if you ain't then do something about it or you will regret it later on in life.

I have been writing in all caps but the point remains. Love what you do. Do what you love.

Sometimes you have to take a few steps back to move farther if you're thinking of changing careers.
My sister use to be an accountant making good money, then she went to art school because she was an artist all of her life. Now she's traveling around Europe being a bonehead doing God knows what. I hate my sister sometimes...sorry, went off tangent there.

yeah, canuck.
it was easier back then. when i had very little and freelancing. turning down projects i don't wanna work.life is good though. i just want to get caught up in the comfort and forget my real passion. i don't like seeing myself compromise. i wanna be a really really good designer and there's so much i need to do.

some people are never meant to be happy

Yeah, always easier said than done. We may have it easy but everyone else's problems fade into the background if you're unhappy.
Shit happens. Things change.Life sucks. Rearrange.
A 5timuli Originalâ„¢ piece of advice.

There is some truth coming out in all of the craziness: Do what you love.
I love/hate college, for instance. I do it because, much like you, it's what society says one needs to do. But at the same time, it's wonderful because it's a community and learning can be really inspiring.
I say sign up for something. An indoor rock climbing gym--get in their classes. Go do interesting things that expand your experience, knowledge, and friendship/acquaintance base. You're bound to get something from it.
I'd prefer to sign up for random classes and live whatever life I want, but I need some sort of degree first. :^)

Come to Chicago for a break. :)

I'd travel if i had the money. I've got to sell my flat, split all finances, pay off all debts... scary times. All the time trying not to get the horn for every girl that crosses my path ;)
