I'm going to be doing a site for a major record label, complete with a php/sql backend.
the site would include new, tour dates, audio player, artist bios.. basically everything you can imagine. kind of like this: http://www.epitaph.com/
Anyway I have an idea of what I should charge but I'd like to hear some of your ideas..

just kidding -- every case is different -- try calculating your time/overhead and add a little padding.

based on Epitaph as an example,case study. If you were going to build the same amount of links, profiles, streaming audio/video. think about the hours involved-look at who the client is "major label". Based on Epitaph I'd quote them in the $45k range. But then again I charge more then most people anyway I think $75 USD /hr

agreed. plus, consider that a lot of their ongoing promo will be connected with the site, so it's pretty much their major marketing push.
