Well hey, it was in the news today...

"'Religious alternative".
[buzzer]
Incorrect.
It's hard to tell whether the media is purposely misrepresenting it, or if the Darwinian Fundamentalists are just succeeding in their campaign of misrepresentation to the media.
also, in the news:

...and so the ACLU driven censorship of new science, continues.
dark days we live in.

Discovery Inst. actually wanted this decision. They do not have a curriculum ready for it to be taught yet. They didn't want the case in Dover to even happen - not yet.
- ukit0
Well congrats then (lol)...

Thank God ;)
We wouldn't want our children learning old science. We want them to learn something older than science.

"This is an activist judge who has delusions of grandeur.
Anyone who thinks a court ruling is going to kill off interest in intelligent design is living in another world," continued West. "Americans don't like to be told there is some idea that they aren't permitted to learn about. It used to be said that banning a book in Boston guaranteed it would be a bestseller. Banning intelligent design in Dover will likely only fan interest in the theory."

just teach them good science, I say.
and leave out the Materialistic philosophy masquerading as science. ;)

From the opinion:
"Those who disagree with our holding will likely mark it as the product of an activist judge. If so, they will have erred as this is manifestly not an activist Court. Rather, this case came to us as the result of the activism of an ill-informed faction on a school board, aided by a national public interest law firm eager to find a constitutional test case on ID, who in combination drove the Board to adopt an imprudent and ultimately unconstitutional policy. The breathtaking inanity of the Board’s decision is evident when considered against the factual backdrop which has now been fully revealed through this trial. The students, parents, and teachers of the Dover Area School District deserved better than to be dragged into this legal maelstrom, with its resulting utter waste of monetary and personal resources."
And commentary from Panda's Thumb blogger Ed Brayton:
"It's a total victory. It's Hiroshima for ID. Game over, thank you for playing, we have some lovely parting gifts for you. It couldn't be any better if I had written it myself."
Looks like the insanity is ending.

No need to get defensive. I was just curious.
- Mimio0
No but he's a religious zealot and an Intelligent Design/Creationism proponent...go figure.

don't know who you are no-spin-zone, but i do have to say that even when getting into some heated discussions, you've remained quite polite and level when most would resort to cheap shots.
good show, ole chap!

ahah, ukit quoting from Panda's Thumb. The hotbed for anti-ID zealotry. Speaking of insanity, those people need straight jackets. Don't ruin your credibility by posting quotes from there.
"A legal ruling can't change the fact that there is digital code in DNA, it can’t remove the molecular machines from the cell, nor change the fine tuning of the laws of physics,” added West. “The empirical evidence for design, the facts of biology and nature, can't be changed by legal decree."

Sorry, current science will keep moving forward, despite activist judges. ;)
- no-spin-zone0
A bit off-topic. But it is funny to see the Right Wing talk about "activist judges".
As if that isn't exactly what they want on the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.
- discipler0
The Dover case is meaningless except that it will only generate interest for honest people who really want to know the facts of the issue.

Thank you, Sputnik.

Activist judge is a code word for "judge I personally don't agree with."
